Video: Kickstart new web video series on increasing fuel efficiency, Ain't Fuelin'

mpgomatic kickstarterYou, too, can help fund a video series in which used cars are retrofitted (in a minor way) to get better gas mileage. Consider it your contribution to the ecology.

Daniel Gray of Princeton, NJ, is pitching a YouTube series called Ain't Fuelin', in which top-selling cars like the Honda Civic, Kia Soul and Volkswagen Golf get their improved thanks to aftermarket components.

"Our goal is to bring a bit of new car magic to the vehicles that folks already own," reads part of the pitch on Kickstarter, a microfunding site. "We've had some great conversations with a range of potential sponsors in the automotive industry, but now it's time to put the pedal to the metal."

As of this writing, 62 backers have stepped up to commit about $1,800 towards the project. Gray says he needs to raise $7,777 (perhaps he's superstitious or something) by April 5 to get what he says is the needed start-up funding for the project. Check out the Kickstarter pitch video below.
