In addition, Verizon's New Jersey fleet will soon become a whole lot greener when 260 hybrids join the stable. The hybrids will include Toyota sedans, Chevrolet pickup trucks and a handful of mild hybrid aerial fiber splicing trucks. The 300 CNG-fueled vans and 260 hybrids are among the 1,600-plus alternative energy vehicles that Verizon hopes to add to its nationwide fleet by year's end.
