Lotus Offers Toyota an Elise R with the Last 2ZZ Engine

The Toyota 2ZZ-GE VVTLi four cylinder engine has reached the end of it production cycle and Lotus, who also uses the unit, has offered the Japanese company a special Elise R using the last 2ZZ-GE powerplant.

Lotus CEO Dany Bahar presented Toyota Motor Corporation President Akio Toyoda with the vehicle during a special ceremony held at the British Embassy in Tokyo. The two companies highlighted the fact that the event marked the start of an even stronger relationship between them.
